Homelessness
Bombora Learning is passionate about bringing awareness, advocacy and attention to the issues surrounding homelessness in Australia. People experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness are among Australia’s most socially and economically disadvantaged.
The number of people experiencing homelessness is increasing and understanding the complex issues of homelessness and the cycles of intergenerational trauma for people who are trying to survive in crisis environment. Being aware and advocating on behalf of people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness is vital to be connected to your local community.
Rough Sleeping is 6% of homelessness whilst Couch Surfing and overcrowding makes up approximately 48% of homelessness, this is important to reflect on as there is a gap in our understanding and response to communities that need support and assistance.
